The new options are available mainly on Tab 1 and Tab 2 of the filter dialog.

Tab 1:



Use ‘Character spacing amount’ to adjust the distance between individual characters.

Default spacing:



Spacing set to 100:



Spacing set to -100:



Tab 2:



The new options on Tab 2 can be used to rotate individual characters.

Some text without rotation (note that the filter will now display a space character, that contains a glyph, correctly):



With character rotation set to 5 for all characters:



Use the toggle option if you want to rotate only alphanumeric characters:



Use the jitter option to set a random amount of rotation to each character; a jitter value of 40 would use random values of between -20 and +20:



And the effect applied to only alphanumeric characters:
