If you truly want the best experience with my plugins use GIMP 3.0.4, we already know GIMP 3.0.6 and 3.2 RC1 starts up slow if the user has many GEGL plugins. GIMP team will probably fix it but that's not the point. I configured my Linux machine to run a Flatpak of GIMP 3.0.4/GEGL 0.4.62 that will never update. So the rest of my system can update while this stays eternally fixed locked in a sandbox environment. I will not show concern of GIMP 3.2+ or Windows has issues. But the source code will be open so others can fix future problems.

Does anyone else feel the same way about a specific version of GIMP and going hermit with it? I know some people here still use 2.8, 2.10 and this one girl on the GIMP discord who used a 2.99x release. Well for me its 3.0.4 - 3.0.5 and its gonna stay that way. I already have over 200 GEGL plugins that do everything I need and I greatly thank GIMP team and others who gave me the tools to make these plugin. Constantly updating is becoming a pain and as long as the source code is open and people are given public knowledge that GIMP 3.0.4/ GEGL 0.4.62 works flawless, there is no reason to believe they won't be maintained by others.

So yeah, let me know if there is a version of GIMP you wish to continue using indefinitely

I plan on using 2.10.38 indefinitely. I also plan on updating plug-ins to be compatible with Gimp 3.2, if I'm able. I have philosophy where I want to keep my current plug-ins updated and available to the public as long possible. They are small plug-ins, and I'm hoping that the 3.2 fix will be small as well.

Perhaps I want to update my plug-ins with change to become a creator-spirit. It's multi-life perspective. I believe the perception of change, how time is measured, is accelerating with AI. I like to imagine a world where a I can create an AI of my own. I view this potential AI as a baby. There's a quantum computing reality where I teach the AI with learning modules. It's like how Neo learns kung-fu in the movie The Matrix, but Neo is the AI, and the learning modules are code libraries. Then there's the baby, the AI that I would teach, I call it Gimp.
