Thank you for your contribution dd. They all make good fabric patterns. Here's a couple I did just to try them out. The first was made using just the Dark.pat. The second one is both the Dark.pat and Light.pat with layer modes set to overlay.

But fot the semitransparency you must click on the image and get the original size, the other size as rescaled jpg with no transparency

see the difference same pattern in jpg or png

Quiz !
All patterns created in one program (not free - but you can use for 1 month) in 10 minutes.
Link to the program is on page Gimpchat.
Who can guess - what is called the program? (for simplicity - Lylejk is excluded from the fun as the author of the link ..)

lylejk · **Joined:** Sep 24, 2010 **Posts:** 12850

Not sure what program you are referring too MareroQ so I couldn't answer anyway. lol

Anyway, just sharing this simple pattern based on lessons learned about circle packing. If you have a circular object, just increase the canvas size in the y-axis direction only by 169% to 171% (eyeballed range from the few items that I've tested) center the object to the new canvas. Then, you dup and offset the base layer by [x/50, y/50] and merge the object. You pattern will be both seamless and packed.

Nice site and well organized: http://www.texturemate.com/

And, although it's in Dutch, you can look here what others have found more: http://www.dutchgimpers.nl/forum/index.php --> look under 'Resources'.

I've ran across texturemate, but never did download/use it so didn't remember that one. All kinds of ways to create seamless textures, but cheap I am. lol
