Have any of you ever had a song in your head that you could not get out of? Well, I've been searching for this song that I remember listening on the radio in the 70s for over 5 years (ever since I heard it played at the Mall then and even recently a few weeks ago; of course the search was on and off. lol). I didn't have access to a mike and tried a few keyboard input search engines but to no avail. Well, finally I found my headphone mike (2002 vintage; lol) and low and behold it still works (pen camera doesn't; company never made drivers for Win7 and I disable USB for my XP VM and don't want it enabled. lol). Anyway, I used the Humming search engine site, Midomi, and it found right away my song so now I have it's name and no longer have to be on this 5 year on and off quest (wasn't going to buy a mike just to do this; as many here already know, I'm a cheap b@stard. lol). Now one less thing to look for (I'm relentless; maybe a sign of insanity; lol). Below's the Youtube link; enjoy. :)

Very cool song Lyle. I know why you were looking for it so hard. Reminds me of some of the Simon and Garfunkle tunes.

Some may call it insanity, I call it tenacity. Thanks for sharing.

I only have 2 goals left to fine a cheap solution for. One is jigsaw image mosaics, and the other is a fast substitute for Perculator. lol

I guess by the time I do find solutions to these two things, I will have other challenges that need to be fulfilled. Took 5 years to find this song and, though I like it, it's no longer in my head. lol

:)

This is from Jeff Wayne's musical version of War Of The Worlds where Justin Hayward plays the reporter. If you ever find the live DVD of Jeff Wayne's War Of The Worlds I highly recommend getting it. It is AWESOME!

That was great, Lyle!
I don't have any solo Justin Hayward, but I do have a bunch of Moody Blues CD's.

I searched for a song for so years and all of a sudden there it was on youtube. It's weird how that works.

lol, it's like the search for the words to Louie, Louie. You wonder for years, then you google it and there they are.

You have to note that I only had the tune in my head; had no idea what the words were. That was the problem. Had I known the words, I would have found the song years ago. Again, I found it by humming the tune. lol
