Hi,

I use Gimp for my wedding photography.
It's not an easy program to use,
but I hope will learn a lot of you all!

Peter

Hi and welcome to the forums, I think to start with Gimp can seem very daunting but after following a few tutorials the controls and functions soon become second nature, though most of us on here are still learning and finding new ways to achieve things.

You came to the right place fried001. We have a lot of talented members here that are eager to help with any questions about GIMP.

@2-ton, that was just one of the logo scripts. File > Create > Logo. I am not sure now which one it is but I will try to find out.

Found it. File > Create > Logo > Shadowy. Just type in a word and it will do its thing

This is one of my favorite logo filters. You should try some more of them 2-ton. Sometimes we forget they are there.

I was messing with different metallic gradients on that logo script and also turned off the background layer

Great idea, Akky...gives text that little oomph even with no background. BTW, I didn't notice if it gives a choice of background size, as in the whole canvas size.
