ok so I'm designing a layout for a client in exchange for some cash. Now that my mom and I got our own comp up and running with Ubuntu I spent all day working on this layout (tried a variety of different ideas, but he seems to like this one the best) Now comes the ultimate test, the browser compatibility test. So my question to the Codenstuff community is can you take some time throughout your day to check the site, take a screenshot (save it) and upload the image here so I can see what it looks like. If there's any problem with the coding/display tell me so I can fix whatever issue occurs. All complications must be fixed so I get no errors at all otherwise I get no money.

S ss wouldn't really help but when the background moves it looks cut off on the bottom, also all pages with the doesn't seem to work right, I can't see the header text when I click on them.

It looks nice but the background animation is too distracting and erratic (jerky) in movement. I would set the animation speed to float by like clouds, not flow by like a river.
I tested with Vista, Firefox 20.0.

I also tested mobile with RepWD, it should work on a iPad but cell phones are not going to work very well. To confirm the cell phone compatibility I tried to used the Opera Mobile Emulator, but your site is down. You should grab the Opera Mobile Emulator for your own testing. Also use Matt's Responsive Design Testing or the Firefox and Chrome Web Developer extension.

I have to agree that the bg is way too busy.

i would definitely get a migraine attack if i stayed at that site too long - i agree with odin, i think the background should float by like clouds. apart from that it seems the layout worked well.

I modified the background scrolling a bit so it's not so jittery.

idk why the menu is all messed up. I'm guessing because of pagify (JQuery plugin) I'll have to check tomorrow when I have more time.

My webhosting provider was having some problems with there server (000webhost). The problem seems to be fixed right now, but idk.

i think you will need a different structure for the text, like paragraphs and/or more space

at the moment its a wall of text that is basically unreadable, especially with the background

Hi Mike, I see what everyone else does. I try to read the text and the clouds keep floating by and distract what I am trying to read. As AnMal says, maybe there should be some nice soft clouds in the BG floating real slow.

my guess is, these lights are supposed to be discolights, so clouds would be a bit off-topic

I can't understand by the meaning off-topic,

- The moving background is a false good idea. It gives headaches, and burns CPU (running at over 20% CPU on a 2+2 Core I5, try that on a tablet with a much smaller CPU...). In turns this means heat (hence ventirad noise) and reduced battery operating time.
- The moving images are very big for a low-speed link, but too small for a highres display. You may want to tile them.
- The bio part has several spelling/syntax/typography errors.
- Clicking twice on the same tab (once to switch to that page, and then again on the tab for that very same page when ou are there) shifts everything up (DJ Arkangel and the moto disappear).

A good demonstrator of your design/coding abilities, but it won't fly as a real-life web site IMHO.

discolights is one way to decorate a website so it represents the theme and would be on topic

I redesigned the page a bit to fit his logo better. I'll continue working on designing this when I have free time during the coming days/weeks when the comp isn't in use. So yes it's still in the mix.

I'll be using multiple images for that techish background, just to lazy to do the cropping yet. Making sure all gets positioned correctly before anymore designing is done to fit the dimensions.

NOTE: The previous layout below (lights w/ black bg) is for sale at $20. My site is still undergoing maintenance with a new design implementing a store section.

Well, this is what I see...
I get a WOT yellow flag and a Comodo warning, apparently, web44.net (as a whole, but your site inherits the reputation) is engaged into malware spreading. The WOT warning is particularly critical, because many many people use WOT norwadays, and if they stumble upon a yellow flagged site, you know what'll happen, they simply leave and never visit your site.

That's better than the last version, but you'll have issues with any mobile device.

I'll work on the mobile version of the site once I get all complications on a desktop fixed. A mobile version of the site will be similar, but made specifically for mobile devices. I will only make a mobile version if he's willing to pay for it. If not then he'll remain with just the desktop layout.

@anarkhya idk why you got that error. Only links are those to the additional pages, but the only page that has any links is the contact page (facebook, and email). No server side scripting. I believe Pagify by default cashe's the pages visited. (Great JQuery Plugin, saves a lot of time)

Actually, there are two points to consider:

1- I'm using Comodo secure DNS as a security layer, these DNS consider your topdomain (web44.net) as unsafe, your subdomain (michaelsdelivery.web44.net) might be safe but it automatically inherits the reputation of the top domain. But this is not critical, because these third party DNS maybe not widely used, as of today.

2 - I'm also using WOT addon for Firefox, this is another security layer that assists the user, providing user based ratings about websites. As you can see on the add-on page, with 1 500 000 users (not counting chrome's addon users), this is widely used, so WOT's ratings is something you should deal with.
