Tried my hand at miniatures. I saw instructions for it somewhere on the web a while back and stored the information in my brain for too long to remember where. But I still got the how-to. Enjoy some mini cars.

Cool stuff, ek22! I love tilt-shift miniatures.
Here is one of many i've made (mostly by hand but this one with Toy plugin)

must have taken a bit of time to mask the foreground off, though.

Actually I approached it bass ackwards. I blurred duplicate layers (2 of them for this one) and then masked out the areas I needed to be sharp. A little tweak to make the colors overly bright and increased the contrast to almost unreal levels and that seems to do the trick. I don't know, it was my attempt to dip my toe into uncharted waters. Came out pretty good.

You know, Rod, I like videos with tilt-shift effect. Tried to fake it with GAP's Filter_All>Toy plugin a while ago and it didn't work for some reason.
Think i'm gonna try it again. It looks way too cool!

I would love to see that when it's complete.

Maybe create a flash export of it using SWFTools, and the export as SWF filter?
That would be a project in itself just getting all the photography taken correctly. :bigthup

I gave it a second thought and maybe i'll do this: save frames as png's and batch-run Toy plugin via BIMP.
After that I can compile it as SWF or APNG video. BTW, Rod, do you know if it's possible to upload swf video on GC?
If not, can I embed it somehow?

You can upload to YouTube and link to it from there.I do not think SWF upload is allowed anymore for members.
Looks like in the BB Video selector a SWF is present so you can try that.Look for this icon in full editor for your posts.

I knew I saw it somewhere, thanks for refreshing my memory. I read a lot and don't always retain the where's, only the pertinent stuff like the how to's. And sometimes even that gets skewed, lol.

Sometimes ancient threads make a comeback.
Which is what I'm hoping for with this video.
I've always enjoyed this effect.
So here's the video I found,
that's a wonderful "tilt and shift" (video) example of this effect.
