By Harry-Art This style is usually widely used as a style of pop art artist, with highlights with contrasting colors will produce dramatic works of pop art.

Maybe the filter is very subtle but I'm struggling to see any difference between the two images posted.

Yes It's subtle but if it glowed it would degrade the Image

Maybe this will give you a better look

Sometimes I will brighten an image by duplicating the layer and setting the top layer to Overlay. The script looks like it's doing that.

The script duplicates the image the converts the duplicate to indexed-mode (reducing the number of colors), converts back to RGB and changes it's mode to Screen before merging down

Although different it does give the effect of increasing the lighting on the complete Image

Yes.
Just save the file as a py extension instead of txt.
Place it in the plug-ins folder and you will find it in the menus at Filters>HaryArt.

Hmm, I only see a notepad, not a script or a plugin to download.

I downloaded the attachment, but i don't see the script under Filters Menu.
So, i guess the script doesn't work. Least not for Windows, anyways.
It would be nice, if someone could make a vector script for windows as well.

You must be missing out something, because there are very few scripts that are sensitive to the operating system and this isn't one.

- Unzip the ZIP file provided by Rod, this will give you a file with extension .py.
- locate your Gimp profile (see here for instructions)
- this directory has a "plug-ins" subdirectory: move the .py file there
- restart Gimp, and you should have a "HaryArt entry in "Filters"
